I came in at the foundational stage and owned the platform end-to-end — system design, data model, API contracts, the AI layer, cloud and security. No handoffs.
Context
Culturise is a SaaS that diagnoses organizational culture — analyzing values, climate, and alignment to generate actionable insight. The flagship product, Culturise Fit, ranks candidates by cultural and technical compatibility before the interview.
I joined as Fractional CTO at the foundational stage — when the product was still being shaped from ambition into something deployable, auditable, and ready for enterprise procurement. The technical bar wasn't “make it work”; it was “make it pass a bank’s review.”
What I built
Architecture
End-to-end system topology — services, AI agents, dashboard, data flow. Made the monolith-vs-split call early to keep velocity without locking decisions.
Data model
SQL schema for tenants, users, diagnostic instruments, responses, candidates, and results — indexed for the query patterns of the analytics layer.
API design
Contract-first APIs between the AI agents, the dashboard, and the public Culturise Fit landing — so each piece could evolve independently.
AI layer
Agents that turn raw culture and candidate data into ranked, actionable insight — the engine behind Culturise Fit's compatibility scoring.
Security & privacy
Security posture, privacy-by-design, secret management and malware scanning (ClamAV / Monarx) — the groundwork to clear an enterprise procurement audit.
Deploy
Cloud topology and shipping pipeline — from foundational stage to a product running in production for real customers.
Outcome
Culturise is in production. It was homologated as a supplier of C6 Bank — passing an enterprise procurement and security review designed for products at much larger scales. I continue to act as Fractional CTO on the project.
